When you introduce others to the critical work done by the Crisis Nursery you make it possible for more children and parents to be supported when they need it most.

Did you know… When families are stressed, isolated, or overwhelmed, the risk of harm increases. But when they have support—when they have YOU—that risk decreases.

Together, we’re partnering with parents to prevent abuse and neglect before it occurs.

Parents like Victoria, mom to 3 boys, depend on the Nursery to build a family that’s rooted in peace. Victoria recently visited the Nursery to tell us more. Trust me, you will be inspired by her story when you hear it at Formula next month!

Because of You

We are building the connections to secure the $5.3 million it takes to care for children and partner with parents in their time of need. The Formula for Hope event is an important part of securing $550,000 this spring. It takes $1,300 to give a child a safe, warm, loving stay at the Nursery for three days.

That’s why the Crisis Nursery’s model—grounded in relationships, community, and trust—is so effective. As one parent shared: “I don’t know what I would have done without the Crisis Nursery. My kids felt so safe, and I was at ease knowing that my kids were in great care. I can’t say thank you enough. This truly was a life saver.”

As we get closer to the big day, I’m so grateful for the energy and heart you’re putting into making this event meaningful. Every conversation you spark and every guest you invite helps us build a stronger safety net for kids and families when they need it most. Thank you for being such an important part of the Crisis Nursery story.

We’re just two weeks from Formula for Hope and there’s a gentle hum of excitement building!

Mark your calendar for Monday, May 19 for a thank you gathering at France 44, so we can celebrate your hard work!

This is Princeton. He’s just turned four and loves toy cars, Spiderman, and teacher Dee.  Princeton and teacher Dee are inseparable at the Nursery. You’ll get to hear more about Princeton at the luncheon, but in the meantime, enjoy a couple behind the scenes pictures from their video shoot.

Timely Tasks

• • • By Monday 4/28: Complete your guest registration. Make sure names and emails are entered for all nine of your guests. Note any dietary restrictions (vegetarian, vegan, allergies, etc.)
    • Save the Date! Mark your calendar for Monday, May 19 for a special Table Host gathering to enjoy wine and light bites as we celebrate you. We’ll gather at France 44 in Edina from 6:30-7:30pm.

Did you know… Safe, loving care teaches kids to trust the world around them. That trust becomes the foundation for healthy relationships and emotional resilience. At the Nursery, children don’t have to worry about the big things happening at home. Here, they get to just be kids: to play, to laugh, to feel safe.

Important Future Dates:

• • • April 28: Complete your guest registration and enter contact info for all guests
    • May 1 & 2: Call or text your guests to confirm their attendance
    • May 7: Arrive at 11:15am to be ready to greet your guests. We’ll help you find your table and get settled so you can welcome your guests!
    • May 8: Follow up with your guests to thank them for attending and gather their feedback
