Leadership Bios


Mary Pat Lee
Executive Director

Mary Pat has been the leader of the Greater Minneapolis Crisis Nursery since 2006. She is responsible for guiding GMCN’s strategic plan, leading the staff and working in collaboration with the Nursery’s board of directors to ensure the vitality of the organization. Mary Pat has more than 25 years of experience in nonprofit management and fund development. Prior to joining GMCN, Mary Pat served as Director of Development and Communications for Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity. She has also held executive positions at The Center for Community Change in Washington, DC, and at St. Catherine University in St. Paul.  Mary Pat holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from St. Catherine University. 


Jennifer Harrison
Development and Communications Director

Jennifer is responsible for leading all fund development and communications activities at the Greater Minneapolis Crisis Nursery.  Jennifer oversees major gifts, grants, the annual fund, planned giving, special events, communications, volunteer management, and special purpose fundraising campaigns.  She joined GMCN in 2016, and has more than 10 years of experience in fundraising and communications management. Previously Jennifer served as Director of Development for the Angel Foundation, and also held fundraising and communications positions at Animal Humane Society, Emerge Community Development, and Episcopal Community Services.  Jennifer has a Master of Arts in Nonprofit Management from Hamline University and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of St. Thomas.  In addition, she has earned the Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) professional credential.
