Golden Valley Shelter

Nestled within a residential community, our Golden Valley shelter serves as a temporary home for up to 18 children per night.

The 18 thousand square-foot facility opened in 1999, following a $3.1 million capital campaign. The building also serves as Greater Minneapolis Crisis Nursery's administrative headquarters.

The majority of our families arrive at the shelter via free transportation services provided by the Nursery.
