Summary |
The Family Advocate is part of a team that is responsible for answering the crisis line and meeting with families during the intake and discharge process. The purpose of this position is to provide crisis intervention, referrals, support and assistance to families who are stressed and at risk of child abuse/neglect. |
| Experience |
Two or more years experience working with families in crisis situations, case management skills and cross-cultural experience preferred. |
Education and
Experience: |
BA/BS in Social Work / Human Services or closely related field |

- Work under pressure and be flexible
- Communicate well
Assist families in crisis
- Make referrals from knowledge of metropolitan resources and services and connect families to appropriate resources
- Be On-Call 24 hours one day per week and one weekend per month
