Child Care
Provide direct, loving care to the children at our shelters.
(Open to individuals)
Note:
For Child Care volunteers a tour of the Nursery, a 45-minute interview, reference and background checks, and a 3-hour orientation training session are required. We also ask for a 6-month or more commitment, volunteering at least 6-8 hours each month.
Creative Snack for Kids
Teams of 4-6 volunteers plan the snack, purchase and donate the ingredients for a snack, prepare the snack ahead of time and serve to the children or prepare the snack with the children for an interactive experience, eat with the children and staff, and clean-up. (Open to small groups)

Cook for Kids
Teams of 4-6 volunteers plan the menu, purchase and donate the ingredients for a meal, cook the meal, serve, eat with the children and staff, and clean-up.

Enrichment Activity
Bring in an activity to share with 2-6 year old children. Volunteers are scheduled for one hour, once or twice per month.

Office Support
Assist with administrative, clerical, computer, phone work, and mailings. These opportunities are available weekdays between 9:00 am - 5:00 pm.

Service Day
Help keep our building clean and comfortable inside and outside.

Note:
The minimum age to volunteer on-site is 12 years old. Volunteers age 12-16 must be accompanied by an adult 21 years of age or older who completes the same application process and serves alongside the minor acting as their supervisor.
