Something for Everyone
Without the generosity of corporations, foundations, and individuals like you, the Nursery could not exist.
In our 2006 fiscal year, 519 individual volunteers plus 248 volunteer teams donated a total of 25,394 hours, the equivalent of 12.2 full-time positions and valued at $445,665. The food donated by our Cook for Kids teams was valued at $56,900.
Please consider joining us in any of the following capacities:
- Tour the Nursery: As hard as we try to convey the culture and feel of the Nursery, you simply don't get the full impact unless you stop by.
- Provide Financial Support: You can now donate electronically with a one-time gift, make an honorarium or memorial donation, or establish a living legacy by committing to longer term support.
- Volunteer: The Nursery offers many vital volunteer opportunities including direct, loving child care, cooking and serving children's meals, and enrichment or service day activities.
- Donate Goods or Services: The nursery depends on donors for items large and small. From diapers and formula, to children's clothing, to professional services.
- Increase Awareness: Host a baby shower or supply drive for the everyday items children need during their Nursery stay. Nursery speakers, videos, and literature are available for group meetings or events.
- Make a Purchase: We provide seasonal opportunities to purchase items online with all or a portion of the proceeds benefitting the Nursery. Greeting cards and Greater Minneapolis Crisis Nursery bracelets are just a couple of the items available.
